FOH Sound for Holly Herndon, Holly+, Philomela Choir: IP as part of Helsinki festival where Holly Herndon experimented with machine learning technologies and her own trained voice model Holly + with an emphasis on congregation and the human voice. She believes these tools will significantly alter the ways in which we make and experience art in the next decade, allowing for anyone to perform as others in a process she defines as “Identity Play” (IP). The whole thing was wild, and it significantly changed my understanding of what can be achieved with synthetic intelligence models that are custom trained on an artist's own data (such as their own voice) in the right hands.
